SyMO-Chem is run by researchers and chemists from various backgrounds and with various functions. Projects are managed by experienced research chemists that have a PhD in organic, polymer or physical chemistry, while qualified technicians with expertise in different fields of chemistry and research are involved in the progress of projects. SyMO-Chem does not employ PhD students or post-docs. The director of SyMO-Chem BV is prof. dr. dr. Patricia Dankers.
SyMO-Chem BV has commissioners that advise the company. Prof. dr. E.W. (Bert) Meijer (TU/e) and prof. dr. ir. Jan van Hest (TU/e) have a strong background in chemistry and science. Dr. Ton Vries (Symeres and BioBTX) has a background in industry, while Sonja Vos-Poppelaars (TU/e Participations BV) has a background in finance and is the chairman of the board of commissioners.
